but this isn't all about my stuffs. it's about life as a mom in a two-mom-two-daughter family, the occasional tutorial, poem, rant, and well, whatever I feel like posting, really... I'm Jonah, 39 year old mom of 10 year old D and 6 year old B (leaving names out to please 41 year old internet-information-conscious wife C) as well as 4 cats, and 3 fishies... a house of all girls, except 2 wee furry feline boys.

day 2....the artist at work....junior.
yesterday D (the 5 year old) decided she wanted to make dolls like me. So she drew out a "pattern" of a doll - basically a circle for the head, complete with haircircle with a dot in it for the belly, and 4 long awkward ovals for the limbs. It was so sweet. I had her cut out the pieces and together we traced them onto some brown bamboo jersey. I cut them out for her and she stuffed them with some raw alpaca wool..I stitched them closed....we haven't p ut them together yet... but she SO wants me to sell it on the store. She keeps making random "crafts" for the shop...it's kinda heartbreaking to deny her. Will have to figure out a solution to this too. any suggestions? In the meantime C (the wife) saw the stuffed and sewn brown limbs and thought that they were pretend poops. Classy. I was tired enough to laugh hysterically at her, gee i wish B (the 16 month old baba and reason for the name of the store) would sleep through at least MOST of the night.......

maybe D can have her own section in your etsy shop? so cute she likes to make crafts. :)
ReplyDeleteFunny how babies wake up at all hours at night...then when they reach their teens they sleep 20 hours a day.
ReplyDeleteTrust me it does get better, mine are now in their 30's so I know from experience.=D
thanx... tell me i'll get sleep before they're teens... PLEEEEZ
ReplyDeleteHa! I'm with you on babies that don't sleep. But my youngest (also 16 months) does sleep. Its my not-quite 3 year old that keeps me up all night. She's a mystery to me. I think it would be cute to make a small section in your shop for D's crafts!
ReplyDeleteyeah.. it took our first until almost 5 years old to sleep through the night. now saying this, she's been up 3 times already since 730pm, and it's only a quarter after 11....but most nights (like 4 or 5 out of 7) she's out till morning now....
